The truth is that cultural appropriation is indefensible. Those who defend it either don’t understand what it is, misrepresent it to muddy the conversation, or ignore its complexity — discarding any nuances and making it easy to dismiss both appropriation and those who object to it.
Journey of Healing is for white people in North America to understand and begin to heal the racism we carry. Racism is a chronic spiritual disease born out of a false sense of racial entitlement, arrogance, egotism and superiority. It prevents the building of healthy community.
